woohoohooo...ada rasa seram tak tengok kek i cacak pacak ni? inilah dia kes tak cukup peralatan nak mendeko kek, main coklat cair, cakar2 dah siap...reminds me of darth vader, no? =P
kek ni permintaan hubby, tiba2 mintak kek coklat...dia memang tak gila kek sangat, except for choc cake (yg ni mana2 pun ok asal moist and ada lapis krim cklat), choc banana and choc indulgence cake from SR...
actually i've been eyeing the chocolate indulgence cake recipe for quite a long time now...bayangkan kek span/chiffon coklat dilapisi mousse coklat, mousse coklat putih dan dicurah ganache...aduhhh....memang harapan palsu la kan nak muat pakai baju raya yang dah siap kt malaysia nunn...kehkehkeh....ada yang i kena pakai girdle waist nipper segala nih adesss =P
oh ye, resepi Chocolate Indulgence ala SR tu ada kat sini, one of my favourite baking site jugak tapi sebab kena guna gelatine for the mousse(s), baru jumpa veggie-gel last week tapi nak kena cari baking tray yang sesuai la pulak...takpe, next baking list harus try bake Chocolate Indulgence specially for my mi amor =)
resepi untuk kek ni amik dari Devil's Food Chocolate Cake from curlybabe's, myresepi also have the same Devil's Food Chocolate Cake recipe here. but since hubby not a big fan of cheesy desserts (sangat rugi, i know!) so i decided to bake the cake batter into three different cake pan (same size-to save my time and also my cake from having uneven layers due to my poor skill memotong kek secara vertical) layered with chocolate cream frosting...
for chocolate cream frosting i use another recipe from curlybabe's, just look at how she assemble her Thousand Layers Chocolate Cake...phewww! terus rasa teruja jugak nak buat kek macam tu, dah berangan nak lapis belang2 kek pink dengan vanilla...sure comel kan?
until i realize my never ending to-bake list yang tak terbuat; kek coklat simple requested by hubby ni pun belum siap, dengan berangan nak buat Chocolate Indulgence and Opera Cake lagi haha...lupakan je la ye, siapkan kek coklat ni dulu ;P

hari tu pulak terlebih rajin nak hias kek, teringat cara mudah hias kek macam dalam hanamemories, simple sangat and i am truly sucker when it comes to homemade cake with homemade decorations ni, so sweeeet! suka sangat! homemade cakes ni selalunya unik dan ada personal touches here and there yang takde pada kek bakery kan?
dah lama x menggodek coklat cair buat deko2 nih...serius dah bertahun, last sekali rasanya time sekolah kut, xpun zaman student dulu time bake raya cakes for aunties and future in laws (ehem ;P ) fortunately on that day Mya mood baik dan tak mengacau mamanya yang leka bermain coklat, susah jugak nak dapatkan corak pacak2 tu yela skill macam ni kena asah selalu kan...lepas dah siap sapu kek 3 lapisan dengan krim coklat, atas kek tu tabur aje coklat parut, cooking chocolate bar biasa tu i just parut dengan pisau tajam je...kemudian kita tutup kehodohan di keliling kek dengan hiasan si spiky tu..siap! ;)
rasanya for the cake itself pakai mana2 resepi favourite korang pun ok je...tapi frosting coklat krim tu memang mantap la uols! i like! sila lah cuba ye, sonang yo...
Devil's Food Chocolate Cake
**resepi ni untuk kek saiz 8" gitu, kalau loyang besar sila double the recipe ok...nanti kek korang pendek sangat le pulok =P
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 tsp bicarbonate soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 brown sugar - uwaaa...tengah taip resepi baru ingat i tak letak brown sugar!! grrr...
65g butter
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk- (homemade 1 cup milk added with 1 tbsp distilled vinegar leave to rest for about 20 minutes, but use 1/4 cup only ya for this recipe)
1/2 cup warm water
Method:-
Set your oven at 170C
Prepare your cake tins. I used 3 same-size cake tins.
Sieve flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate soda, salt, and set aside.
Beat butter with sugars until light and fluffy, add eggs.
When all well incorporated add the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder etc) and alternate with liquid ingredients (buttermilk + warm water) in three portions, (1/3 dry-buttermilk-1/3 dry-warm water-1/3 dry) and lastly incorporate the vanilla extract.
Bake for about 30 minutes or until just cooked

Chocolate Cream Layering/Frosting
250ml non-dairy whipping cream - i guna double cream
125g quality dark chocolate, small pieces
50g unsalted butter
125g quality dark chocolate, small pieces

1. Cairkan coklat dan butter, biar sejuk.
2. Pukul whipping cream/double cream sampai kental but not overbeat. Masukkan coklat cair ke dalam krim dan kacau rata dengan senduk. Do lick your spatula if u wish to, simply delish! (^0^)
notakaki: seriously uols, i tak nampak pun resepi yang i salin tu ada brown sugar adehhh...nasib baik jadi koo...agaknya kalau ada brown sugar lagi sedap la kan? huhu....tu la salin lg resepi kelam kabut guna pensel kan dah mata pun kelabu asap je menengok (-_-')

ala beb, deko comot2 aje...guna aje bahan apa yg ada kt rumah, kalau rumah aku tgk byk stok coklat cam ferrero rocher ke, coklat keping2 tu ke lg byk aku tabur kut hehe...
