have u got your 5-a-day anyone?


5 a-day.
banyak sangat ke 5 servings of fruits and vegs to be added into our diet, say, daily?

well, for me it is.hehe..inilah homework yang cikgu english saya bagi last week. kelas hari khamis, for the next day(last Friday) all of us have to write down every single thing meal that we eat. first she gave us a pamphlet about 5 a-day campaign. and then explain about the purpose of the campaign and why is it important for us to eat healthily.

emmm..benda ni bukannya orang tak tau, tapi people tend to forget and take for granted especially those who living such a hectic lifestyle, always on the go and just grab whatever they have in hand to eat and munch. orang macam ni selalunya akan end up sama ada makan makanan kurang zat OR terlebih makan fast food yang tak menyihatkan sebab nak cepat.

rasanya kempen ni tahap international kan? sebab kat msia pun gov duk sibuk promote makan secara sihat banyak makan sayur dan buah (which i think much more harder..just look at our food choices yang melimpah ruah...kehkehkeh...)

so balik je dari kelas hari tu terus singgah kedai untuk fill up our fruits and vegs stock hehe..memang nak singgah pun beli barang masak tapi semangat lebih sikit nak beli more buah-buahan dan sayur...habis la 20pounds yang big boss bagi untuk belanja kuikuikui...


benda ni senang je nak ubah sebenarnya...just start from your weekly grocery shopping trip.

for instance, kalau dulu pergi asda we all mesti beli satu beg besar keropok kentang Walkers sebab murah then beli kat kedai kecik depan rumah, sekarang dah tukar to cereal boxes...it is much more better to munch honey nut cornflakes while watching tv than habiskan a bag (or sometimes 2 in a row..bad..i know..=P) of crisps right?

kalau dulu suka nak pile up stock chocs (both of us sangat suka chocolates) now dah tukar kepada 'mari kita habis duit beli buah dan sayur then cokelat ok'...

biskut pulak kurangkan oreo lebihkan digestive or oatie biscuits..

as for bread, tukar from white to wholemeal or grainy bread...lebih menyihatkan dan mengenyangkan...

kalau keluar jalan-jalan weekend rather than tergoda dengan aroma latte sedap kat setarbak now i chose to gulp in bottled apple juice instead...dah ada juice tu mesti nak makan kan? makan lak skang ni lagi suka pilih tuna sandwich rather than a slice of yummy cakes or rings of fluffy donuts...

i guess when you have a child this kind of thing just came in naturally...mesti la nak tunjuk contoh makan yang baik pada anak-anak kan? that's why we try to eat our yummy maggi kari lepas mya tido..hehehe...

bila dah beli banyak buah and healthy snacks dan ketiadaan keropok kentang sebagai peneman menonton tv memang dah takde choice la kan...sah-sah kena makan pisang or yogurt je time tengok tv tuh..kehkehkeh..and last thing you know macam dah terbiasa pulak macam tu...

well, of course i do still miss my walkers crispy bag. hehe..bukan tak boleh makan burger, masak nasi lemak or dive into your favourite dessert but do try to increase your fruits and veggies intake daily...start with a simple step like bring healthy sandwich as a bekal to work or try to mengunyap pisang or letak yogurt drinks kat tepi pc korang daripada letak tupperware kerepek sedap(uwaaa rindunya nak makan kerepek-kerepek..) and you'll feel the diference...it do feels right when you know you do the right things =)

hah! the first time i saw your entry's title, i thot 'uhhh, lin nak cakap pasal solat 5 waktu sehari la...'.

rupanya. chet! pasal makan. hahahaha. anyways, berdiet lah engkau sebelum balik ke Malaysia kerana nescaya kau akan makan segala benda yang kau rindukan. hahahaha..

(tak sabar ni tunggu result. ready duit! :P)

atul:keep it up babe! sabar2...hehe..cam aku dok sini kurang sket dugaan unless big boss mintak masak nasi lemak dgn sambal sotong hehe...dah terikut cara omputih sini makan pulak, sandwich and juice for lunch/bfast
