what's cookin - Baked Oreo Cheesecake

fuh. dah lama tak update entry what's cookin kan? berhabuk dah dapur i..hehe..sibuk la, lagipun i duduk seminggu Bangi and seminggu Seremban alternately so yang boleh online kat Bangi je..tu pun kalau sempat bila Mya tak bangun lagi after masak lunch and settlekan laundry....gitu la kan suri rumah sepenuh masa mithali cam i nih..kuikuikui...

actually Oreo Cheesecake ni memang jadi favourite gorgon-gorgon cousin ku masa raya....memang berulang diorang makan...so bila ada peluang nak buat masa ada ramai orang kat rumah mak last 2 weeks (iya,this is another basi entry =P) i pun buat la...lepas gian dah lama tak buat kan...sonang yo nak buek...gaul gaul campur campur dah siap....but sadly dulu masa print resepi ni lupa nak tulis source dia dari blog or site mana, so tak taula mana asal resepi ni...lagipun i dah modify sikit-sikit resepi ni ikut senang nak sukat and beli sekali harung bahan and tak payah simpan-simpan leftover cheese ke oreos ke kan...gitu....

as for the sour cream, kalau tak jumpa boleh ganti dengan heavy cream as noted below....but i do strongly suggest guna je la sour cream kalau boleh...rasanya kalau plain yogurt pun boleh kut...kan? haha so siapa-siapa yang try guna yogurt tu halo-halo la ye kita share results dia cam ne....

Baked Oreo Cheesecake

Lapisan biskut:
2 bungkus Oreo, buang krim dan hancurkan
1/4 cawan melted butter

- Gaul serbuk biskut dan butter cair, tekan-tekan kan dalam springform pan (for cheesecakes, i used 22cm size springform pan). Cover bottom of the springform pan with aluminium foil and set aside.

Lapisan kek:
4 biji telur
500 gm Philadelphia cream cheese, soften overnight at room temperature
3/4 cawan gula pasir
1 cawan sour cream (or can be replace with 1 cup heavy cream + 1-2 TBSP lemon juice)
2 sudu teh esen vanilla
1-2 bungkus Oreo, patah-patahkan atau simpan a few for garnish

1. Didihkan air panas sementara nak buat lapisan kek.
2. Pukul cream cheese perlahan, dont overmix. Masukkan gula dan pukul sampai kembang.
3. Masukkan telur satu per satu sehingga sebati.
4. Masukkan sour cream, vanilla dan biskut Oreo, kacau sebati.
5. Tuang adunan kek ke atas base biskut tadi. Hiaskan kepingan Oreo di atas kek.
6. Letak loyang atas dulang pembakar, tuang air panas tadi ke dalam dulang pembakar (bakar secara water bath).Bakar 45-55 minit atau sehingga kek masak (middle of the cake will slightly jiggle when shaken)

what's cookin - Cheesecake Brownies


fresh from the oven and yet, dah rongak satu slice... =P

wah! double entry what's cookin berkenaan bownies dan cheese...hehe...that wolud be because; 1. tak puas hati dgn hasil Marble Cheese Brownies lepas yang comot, 2.kononnya nak buat bekal piknik yang tak jadi...

weekend lepas plan nak ke Stonehaven tengok castle (refer previous entry) hari Sabtu, so i baked this konon asa a kunyah-kunyah kat sana...maybe cari tempat best makan aiskerim and duduk lepak-lepak...tapi tak jadi and while we browsing gerai-gerai kat carboot sale, enche hafiz call and ajak pergi after we back from carboot sale...gitu ye kisahnya...and on that time brownies ku ini dah selamat masuk freezer, frozen for later...kalau tak selamatkan cepat-cepat maunya satu loyang i rembat sorang...tak mo la gitu kan, my waistline are begging me to put that brownies away and i listened okayyy....hehe...

mya yang tak sabar...pantang tengok cokelat...haih...bakal menjadi chocoholic berjaya satu hari nanti =P

resepi ni Cik Ahkon dah try rasanya...kan yanti kan? resepi from famous American-Parisian chef David Lebovitz, here. only that i think i was overmixed the cheese and the brownies batter which gave my cheesecake brownies a kinda 'kelabu asap' look....hehe...


macam biasa lokasi nak shoot shoot harusla tepi tingkap kan...dah situ je lighting okay...kalau tak akan end up hasil masakan cam kena demam kuning..kuikuikui....eh, i malasla nak re-copy resepi kat sini...rasa macam agak tak sedap badan, tekak yang rasa macam terbakar memproduce itching mucus and i keep on melepek and gulping water alternately along with melayan si kecik...kalau uols berminat sila bukak David Lebovitz's site okay...

tiba-tiba tengah snap matahari memancar la pulak...berkilau-kilau choc chips kat atas tu ha...yumm...


oh yes, of course la rasanya sodap...dah namanya cheese + chocolate brownies kan...hehe...

cuba jangan tgak cuba okay...boleh masuk list resepi must-try untuk raya nanti...very the easy cheesy cheesecake brownies! (^_^)

what's cookin - Mini Baked Lemon Cheesecakes


oh my...just look at those babies...and try not to drooling over your keyboard..hehe...my home made mini cheesecakes....yummie yummie yummm...after being dreamt about cheesecake for almost 2 weeks only now i manage to make them....walaupun ada sedikit bekas-bekas hangus di tepi..haha what the heck, janji buat sendiri...janji dapat makan cheesecake....burn baby burn.....hehe...

now the main reason why i make these cakes dalam bentuk mini adalah kerana tidak mahu membebankan diri untuk habiskan the entire cheesecake (though i know i'll be happy to do that even my thighs and waistline begging me not to..haha...)

i mean come on peeps...nama pun kek keju. bahan utama:krim keju + heavy/sour cream + telur...huhu T_T tak ke rasa nak nanges berasa guilty kalau nk kena habiskan satu buku kek keju tersebut seorang diri? kan? no? ;P

lapisan biskut tebal sebab saya suka biskut byk =D

and i've even divided the recipe to half...which means using only 125g of cream cheese and yes, i'm that cocky to put half the egg..muahahaha...FYI, semenjak tekak ku kepingin cheesecake sudah 3 kali try buat...yg kali ke 3 ni baru jadi...

1st take; so~ so~ je la...rasa cheese kureng,mungkin kerana pakai mascarpone cheese yang ikut sejarah salasilah keluarga keju bukanlah jenis keju sejati...again, niat suci di hati guna mascarpone kerana mahu kurangkan segala mak nenek kalori lemak if using cream cheese...plus biscuit base tak sedap sebab main campak je apa serdak biskut yang ada (my preference - mc vities digestive biscuits, yummeyyy..)

2nd take; my bad...sebab tak tengok vanilla essence tu ada alkohol..sangat rugi..telan air liur je tengok adunan cheese (kali ni dah semangat beli medium fat cream cheese) tenggelam bersama-sama sisa sampah dalam garbage...pengajaran utk kali ke berapa entah yang selalu lupa nak check ingredients betul-betul before purchase.. T_T

for recipe refer to MyRecipe.com and again, even recipe pun cari yang paling basic dan paling less fat less calorie less bebanan and less everything lah..owh, and i did added about 2-3 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice..oooohhh tangy! =) me loiikeeee...resepi paling simple and basic...cukupla utk puaskan tekak yg craving nak makan....me adalah malas mahu taip resepi so rajin-rajin la tengok kat MyRecipe.com tu kalau nak buat...macam-macam jenis kek keju ada...maybe kalau suka kek keju yang rich and fluffy boleh try resepi yang ada sour cream or heavy cream...the choice is yours, cheers! =)
